Autism Awareness Month

Just a shout out for autism awareness! I'm sure Amanda can agree with me that we live with the joys and some setbacks of autism...but that we couldn't imagine our lives without them. GO MAX and JJ!! They have both made great strides with their illness, and increasing their talents...check out Max's artwork on amanda's blog when you have a minute. This is my latest thoughts on a song I'm writing about autism. I pulled it out and worked on it last week. It had been a while, but I thought I would share the lyrics with you all. Be autism aware! Common Thing

He doesn’t say much does he
He doesn’t play much with other kids does he
Well I never caught on to that so early on
At 2 years old a little bit shy seems normal to me

So we took him for a free evaluation
And they asked all sorts of questions
Thanks for bringing him today
I guess there is no easy way to say
We’ve found a few delays
